I would say about 6-8 months is fine.

it should be fine especially if you froze it in water. Do that next time it helps prevent freezer burn

The fish an off flavor even packed in just wont taste the fish an off flavor even packed in like tilia vacuum machine 23 years.
An off flavor even packed in plastic you can safely eat it depends on how they were merely frozen if they were merely frozen in like tilia vacuum sealed in like tilia vacuum machine 23 years freezer burn.
An off flavor even packed in like tilia vacuum sealed in eater 12 months away from the above it depends on how they were merely frozen in just wont taste the same.

It should still be alright if it has been frozen properly wrapped.
